I Don't Like to Scrapbook...

I enjoy working on various handmade craft projects, but rarely find quiet time at home to get them finished. When Chelly approached me with the idea of a monthly Scrapbooking event, I wrinkled my nose and said, "I don't scrapbook. Can I work on something else?" She of course told me YES and thus... our little ministry was born! It is open to any ladies working on any portable project. We welcome you whether you are 12 or 112. We welcome you whether you are a "seasoned scrapper" or just want to learn. We welcome you if you "want to do something else". I actually started out by putting my wedding photos into an album. Once I completed that I learned how fun it is to make greeting cards and even personalized a few baby onesies for gifts. I taught someone to knit a scarf and started a scrapbook with my summer vacation photos! Funny, that's not what I originally wanted to spend my time doing. Although I do spend some time scrapbooking, I do enjoy a little bit of everything. I enjoy the "girl" talk around the big tables and the opportunity to see what other people can create. The creativity begins with one person’s idea and usually pours out onto the others in the group. I have seen some amazing things walk out that door! So, I invite you to come and be a part of this interesting group of ladies. Come pick up a new idea or bring some of your own. Don't worry if you are new to "creating"... I guarantee you will be overflowing with ideas & techniques when you leave! I know I do!
