Three years ago I was fortunate to find a group of ladies who met twice a month to scrapbook/craft at a church near my home. Finally I had a dedicated time and space to organize photos, scrapbook, and make cards/favors/gifts without all the distractions of home, namely messes and my toddler! The laughter, sharing and camaraderie I experienced were added bonuses.
Fast forward to a Dave Haney message about God creating us in His image, and as a result we have within each of us a desire and ability to create. This sparked the idea of having a group for Riverbenders to get together and be creative.
If you have a project that you want to make some progress on, then give yourself the gift of time to accomplish it. Enjoy great companionship while you organize photos, scrapbook, make cards, bead, knit, balance your checkbook, color with crayons, write thank you notes, address Christmas cards, wrap presents, or whatever interests you.
